Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026. These terms are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

By accessing or using FreeDynamicQRCode ("the Service"), operated by FreeDynamicQRCode ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

FreeDynamicQRCode provides a web-based platform for generating, customizing, and managing static and dynamic QR codes. The Service includes, but is not limited to: QR code generation for URLs, vCards, WiFi, text, email, SMS, PDF, and app store links; QR code style customization; dynamic QR code redirect management via the vsn.to short URL service; scan analytics; and file hosting for PDF and logo assets.

Free accounts may create up to 3 dynamic QR codes and unlimited static QR codes. Pro subscribers receive additional features as described on our Pricing page. Feature availability, quotas, and pricing are subject to change at any time.

2. Account Registration and Security

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing a valid, non-disposable email address. Account creation is completed via our passwordless magic link authentication system. By creating an account, you represent that:

  • You are at least 16 years of age (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
  • The information you provide is accurate and current.
  • You will not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, appear fraudulent, or remain unverified for more than 90 days.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create QR codes that link to phishing, malware, ransomware, or any malicious content.
  • Distribute spam, scams, or fraudulent content via QR codes.
  • Link to content that is illegal in the jurisdiction where the QR code is distributed.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, usage quotas, CAPTCHA protections, or other security measures.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to mass-create QR codes or accounts.
  • Impersonate another person, organization, or entity.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or access to it without our written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

We actively monitor for abuse using automated systems including domain blocklists, disposable email detection, IP-based rate limiting, and content scanning. Violations may result in immediate account termination and QR code deactivation without notice. To report abuse, visit our Report Abuse page.

4. Dynamic QR Codes and Redirect Service

Dynamic QR codes use our vsn.to redirect service. By creating a dynamic QR code, you acknowledge that:

  • Dynamic QR codes require email verification before the redirect becomes active.
  • Unverified dynamic QR codes are held for 90 days, after which the slug may be released and reassigned.
  • We reserve the right to deactivate any QR code that violates our Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Free accounts receive randomly generated 8-character slugs. Custom slugs are available to Pro subscribers.
  • Scan data (hashed IP, approximate geography, device type, timestamp) is collected for analytics purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Payment, Billing, and Refunds

Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the applicable rate.

  • Prices are displayed on our Pricing page and are subject to change at any time. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
  • You may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for unused time.
  • Refund requests for billing errors or duplicate charges must be submitted within 7 days via our Contact page.
  • QR pack add-ons are billed as separate recurring subscriptions and follow the same cancellation and refund policies.
  • If payment fails, your account may be downgraded to the free tier after a grace period. Your QR codes will not be deleted but Pro features will be restricted.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of any content you upload, encode, or link to via the Service (including logos, PDFs, URLs, and contact information). We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

By uploading content to our platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and serve that content solely as necessary to provide the Service. This license terminates when you delete your account or remove the content. The FreeDynamicQRCode name, logo, platform code, and all related trademarks are our exclusive property.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC REDIRECT LATENCY, UPTIME, OR SCAN ANALYTICS ACCURACY.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FREEDYNAMICQRCODE AND ITS OPERATORS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FreeDynamicQRCode and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your content, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, fraudulent activity, non-payment, or inactivity.

You may terminate your account at any time by visiting our Contact page. Upon termination: your dynamic QR codes will cease redirecting within 30 days; your uploaded content (logos, PDFs) will be deleted within 30 days; your account data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Active Pro subscriptions should be cancelled via the Stripe Customer Portal before requesting account deletion.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to this page. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
